We break the Top 50 Threats into five categories. Here’s our thinking:
The election “rigging” process starts with I. Dark Money, long before ballots are printed, let alone cast. That Dark Money funds, among other things, II. Lawfare Operations intended to weaken election security and even take out candidates. III. Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Operations can seem innocuous but are also rife with fraud and abuse. IV. Voter Fraud occurs when a voter commits an act of fraud, such as voting twice or voting while ineligible. And finally, V. Election Fraud is when those running our elections and counting our ballots tip the scale toward their desired outcome.
