During a recent special edition of Kudlow, President of the Government Accountability Institute Peter Schweizer spoke with David Asman about how Minnesota Governor and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz speaks about China’s human rights violations when trashing America.
“When he was the governor of Minnesota, he actually gave a speech to a United Gront Group in Minnesota,” Schweizer said. “He was, curiously, the only government official there.”
Schweizer continues: “There was nobody else in the state of Minnesota in any official capacity that was there. He gave a keynote speech. And what he does is he will bring up human rights in China, but he always, always does it in the context of, well, we have the same kind of problems here in the United States.”
Walz seems to believe America and China are about the same when it comes to human rights violations.
Schweizer continues: “In fact, [Walz] met with Premier Li, the number two man in China, in 2016. He raised the issue of human rights. But he told the [Li], ‘Don’t look to us as being a model because we have lots of problems.'”

Schweizer elaborated a bit on Walz’s meeting with Premier Li during a recent appearance on the Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.
“He goes to China in 2016 with a few other Democrats. He recounts how he’s meeting with Chinese officials and he says, oh, I was in China. I was here in China in December of 1989. And they said, no, it was February of 1990,” Schweizer said.
“I mean, in other words, they had been tracking him when he was a young man. But in that meeting with Premier Li, it’s a classic example and what the Chinese call big help with a little bad-mouth. Tim Walz has talked about the human rights condition in China, but it’s never in the context of doing anything about it.”
“And during this meeting with Premier Li, he told Premier Li, well, don’t look to the United States as an example of how to do this, because we don’t know how to do it right either. Those are his descriptions of what he told Premier Li.”

Maria Bartiromo: "Do you believe that the Communist Party has been grooming Tim Walz?"
Peter Schweizer: "I think there's no question about it. It goes back to the exchange program that he ran, and brought hundreds of students from the United States to China. There's an account… pic.twitter.com/RflOmSQ4VE
