FANG FANG FUMBLE: Schweizer Rips Swalwell’s 'Incredible Recklessness' [WATCH]

Peter Schweizer says the Eric Swalwell-Fang Fang scandal exposes more than one congressman’s alleged recklessness. It exposes an FBI double standard.

The Government Accountability Institute president told Jesse Watters that Fang Fang appeared at Swalwell’s home late at night and repeatedly encouraged him and his family to visit China at her expense.

By 2013, Schweizer said, Swalwell was joking to friends that his new girlfriend might work for the “Chinese CIA.”

None of it stopped him.

Swalwell joined the House Intelligence Committee and received access to top-secret information in January 2015. Schweizer alleged he met Fang Fang again three months later and severed contact only after the FBI warned him that agents were monitoring her.

“Incredible recklessness on the part of Eric Swalwell,” Schweizer said.

Schweizer’s sharpest criticism targeted the FBI.

He said the bureau believed Fang Fang and both of her parents were associated with China’s Ministry of State Security, yet quietly gave Swalwell a defensive briefing.

By contrast, Schweizer said the FBI and Justice Department figures, including Jack Smith, were prepared to build a task force targeting Donald Trump based on an unsourced dossier.

“The selective nature in which they handled these kinds of incidents is absolutely appalling,” Schweizer said.

“It shows the selective nature of the FBI and the reason that we need to clean house in the FBI in a major way.”

Schweizer’s central question remains: Why did one politician receive a quiet warning while another became the target of a sprawling investigation?
