President Joe Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter “has kneecapped any investigation that could have involved himself,” Peter Schweizer said on Monday. Speaking by phone on Glenn Beck’s program, Schweizer said, “I don’t know any other circumstance where a president is ending an investigation that would potentially implicate himself.”

Schweizer is the host of The Drill Down podcast and author of the 2018 book Secret Empires that first revealed and carefully documented Hunter Biden’s business dealings in China, Russia, Ukraine, and elsewhere. He told Beck that Joe Biden’s pardon of his son, after his many denials that he would do so, “is not surprising but should not take the wind out of the sails of people who are angered by it.”

Schweizer’s book exposed Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings while his father served as vice president under President Barack Obama. But contrary to some reports in the mainstream press, the pardon is far-reaching, and “covers any crime – offers blanket immunity – for any crime [Hunter] may have committed.”

“We know that when [prosecutors] filed the federal tax charges, they alluded that the proceeds of that money being part of a foreign influence peddling scheme that was still under federal investigation,” Schweizer told Glenn Beck by phone.

Beck told Schweizer he believes Hunter Biden may even have been guilty of treason or something similar because he was selling access to the president and involved in a coverup of business dealings being made with “enemies of this country.”

Schweizer retold the story involving the sale to Chinese investors of a Michigan company called Henniges that manufactured high-precision machine tools with national security implications. Hunter Biden was representing the Chinese purchasers. Despite both of those facts, the Obama administration approved the deal with China to allow the company to be acquired by China. The Obama administration, under then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, also approved the sale of uranium mining companies in the US to the Russians and mineral mining companies in Africa to the Chinese. Hunter Biden also represented the Chinese in that transaction.

“This kind of corruption started with the Clintons, but the Bidens have taken it to a new level,” Schweizer said.

“Hunter Biden was paid to be on the Chinese side,” Schweizer said.
