A report Sunday night by the Daily Signal reported that President Joe Biden issued a pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, according to a White House announcement. The president claimed that the charges against his son were brought selectively and unfairly.

“Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter,” Biden said. “From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted.”

A Delaware jury convicted Hunter Biden of three felony gun charges in June, and in September, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to nine tax offenses in Los Angeles federal court.

The report mentions GAI President Peter Schweizer, whose 2018 book, Secret Empires, exposed Hunter Biden’s use of his access to his father to score business deals worth billions of dollars in China, Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan, among other places.

According to the report, “Potential Hunter Biden corruption emerged in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election, as Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute, released his book “Secret Empires.” Schweizer highlighted the fact that Hunter Biden reaped benefits in Ukraine and China while his father had served as the Obama administration’s point-man for Ukraine and had been involved in China diplomacy.
