During the latest episode of The Drill Down podcast, hosts Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers blast Kamala Harris for ignoring and manipulating the truth when it’s politically advantageous for her.
The Jussie Smollett hoax; the Border Patrol “whipping” hoax; and more.
Eggers said Harris likes to play up the narrative that “We’re Under Attack again by these racists.”
“You mentioned Jussie Smollett. She called Jesse Smollett’s attack a ‘modern-day lynching.’ Now, it was a modern-day something … it was a self-inflicted lynching. Turns out it didn’t actually happen,” Eggers said.
“She never came out later and apologized for that claim,” Schweizer said. “Because, of course, the fact that she claims it’s a lynching … she’s the one that’s really trying to instill the fear here, right? Ramp up the fear. But that’s not the only instance. There was an incident on the border as well that turned out not to be true, that she
also made a strong statement about — also related to Haitian immigrants.”
Schweizer continued: “This is the Border Patrol agents on horseback that allegedly, allegedly which turned out not to be true, were whipping Haitian, migrants at the border. She had something to say about that?
“This was three years ago this month, this happened,” Egger said.
“Human beings should not be treated that way,” Harris said just days after the controversy became national news. “It also invoked images of some of the worst moments of our history, where that kind of behavior has been used against the Indigenous people of our country, it has been used against African Americans during times of slavery.”
“So if you’re keeping score at home, Border Patrol agents, protecting the sovereignty and security of this country brings about that. Images of slavery,” Eggers said.
“By the way, let’ s remember her ancestors in Jamaica were slaveholders. So maybe there’s a family history,” Schweizer added.
