- Hunter Biden made million dollar deals with China – many in the same circles as high-ranking intelligence officials.
- Biden got involved with COSCO, sometimes called the “fifth arm of the Chinese Navy.”
- President Xi calls the company “the dragon’s head” because of its strategic initiatives around Europe.
We previously reported on Henry Zhao of Harvest Fund Management —a communist party official with Chinese intelligence ties who set Hunter Biden up in China. Zhao helped Biden build relationships —lucrative ones that put a few million dollars in Hunter’s pocket.
Next, we know Hunter received a $5 million dollar wire from Harvest Global (Zhao) to his company Burnham Asset Management. While the purpose of this payment remains unclear, it may have been intended as an investment in Hunter’s business. And, according to emails from Hunter’s laptop, that may not have been the only large sum Zhao dropped on him.
“Henry remains committed to also making something work with myself and Hunter outside of this Burnham matter as mentioned before,” business partner James Bulger wrote in an email. “He has a few interesting ideas.”
That’s when Zhao went to work structuring a deal that would be “putting money directly into our pockets.” And, if you’re thinking this seems pretty far along for the Biden family to claim they have “no ties” to China or foreign governments, you’re right —and so was Peter Schweizer.
Enter “the Dragon’s Head.”
Now, that’s a pretty sick name but it also spells big trouble for Hunter Biden. Biden had co-founded a firm called Rosemont Realty and, in 2011, was looking for a Chinese buyer. Biden had a little luck initially, but was quickly presented with an “unsolicited offer” from a Hong-Kong based firm called Gemini Investments.
Okay, so what’s Gemini Investments? Here’s where things get messy…
Gemini Investments was actually controlled by something then-called Sino-Ocean Land, which was chaired by the head of the China Ocean Shipping Corporation or COSCO. Now, COSCO is so closely linked to Chinese intelligence that some call it the “fifth arm of the Chinese Navy.”
President Xi calls the company “the dragon’s head” because of its strategic activities in and around Europe. Again, Biden is in deep here, closer to high-ranking Chinese intelligence agencies than most will ever be. Hunter worked with COSCO in an attempt to buy the Greek national railway (and if that doesn’t sound like some Bond villain stuff, I don’t know what does).
How much did Hunter Biden make from the Chinese deal that took over Rosemont Realty? It is impossible to know. But emails reveal at least one payment of approximately $188,000 from Rosemont Realty to Hunter Biden.
He also, not surprisingly, retained his stake in the company after Chinese leadership took over.
