EGGERS: The Rest of the World Realizes Donald Trump is Not Messing Around [WATCH]

GAI Vice President Eric Eggers commented this week on President Trump’s ongoing trade war. Eggers frames Trump’s tariffs as a strategic win — using American consumer power to reset global trade and benefitting some of his most loyal supporters.

Eggers argues that the 90-day tariff plan pressures countries like China and Vietnam to negotiate fairer deals, countering media claims of a looming recession while highlighting economic struggles under former President Joe Biden.

Trump’s focus is on Main Street — not Wall Street, Eggers argues.

“Donald Trump is not messing around, and [other nations] realize the only way to stop the pressure that’s going to be put on their economies is essentially a global reset,” Eggers said.

Eggers continued: “We are fundamentally changing the power dynamic in how the rest of the world interacts with our economy. Donald Trump knows he’s sitting on the best hand. And the most under-commoditized asset in the world is the American consumer. And so he knows it’s about time you guys start treating us with the respect we deserve.”

“He bought us 90 days,” Eggers continued. “Each one of these countries will now be able to ask for certain things. We’ll ask for them to take away not just the tariffs but these other protective measures — all while maintaining maximum pressure on China.”

Eggers also took a shot at the Obama and Biden Administrations.

“Nobody said anything when Barack Obama’s economic strategy was, ‘We’re going to say coal miners are going to teach him how to code.’ And Joe Biden is just going to print money and invest in green energy fantasies based on technology that doesn’t exist, and probably never saw,” Eggers said.

“Donald Trump is standing up on behalf of American businesses and the American consumer.”
