EGGERS ON THE ECONOMY: Ignore the Media Flipout, 'Thank Goodness Donald Trump is Standing Up' [WATCH]

GAI Vice President Eric Eggers joined Greg Kelly on WABC radio to discuss President Trump’s tariff strategy; he says it’s a bold effort to rebalance trade and support everyday Americans.

…and not just the stock-owning elite.

Eggers also criticized the media for overreacting and overlooking decades of trade deficits with countries like China as they lose their minds over Trump’s tariff strategy.

“It’s another classic overreaction from the media,” Eggers said. “We run these massive trade deficits with so many different countries throughout the world and the media, and they look at us as if this is some kind of unprovoked thing.”

Eggers continued: “Thank goodness Donald Trump is standing up. He’s rejiggering the economy. I think the Treasury secretary is doing an excellent job of messaging this because the reality is, he said in his Tucker Carlson interview, more Americans than ever took European vacations last year, but they also have used food pantries more than ever before.”

“So you have two tiers of economy. We know under Joe Biden, we knew we talked about two tiers
of justice. Well, there are two economies. And Donald Trump is standing up to try to take back some
share of the American dream for the people in the lower 50% who don’t own stocks.”

“So while everybody’s freaking out about the stock market, I think it’s like the top 10% of wage earners in this country own 88% of the stocks. And if you look at that coalition that put Donald Trump back in office, it’s young people, it’s working poor. And, it’s people without a college education. And a majority of those people don’t own stock.”
