“We need to keep on fighting to get our country back.”
Government Accountability Institute Director of Research Seamus Bruner thinks “thick-skinned” incoming border czar Tom Homan and DHS nominee South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem have what it takes to carry out President-elect Donald Trump’s mass deportations.
“I think everybody — right, left, and center — can agree that violent criminals need to go,” Bruner said during a recent interview with Rob Astorino on NEWSMAX. “You start with the violent criminals and then, more broadly, the criminals committing crimes other than just hopping the border — that will be less of a fight. When you get down to the hard-working people who are here illegally, that is going to be the toughest fight; the left is going to protest and there are going to be legal battles from the ACLU and other well-funded left-wing organizations.”
“Buy Trump chose the right guy in Tom Homan,” Bruner said, praising the incoming border czar as well as Department of Homeland Security nominee Kristi Noem.
“It’s going to be tough and it’s not going to happen immediately but we just have to keep fighting to get our country back,” Bruner concluded.
Homan has been hitting the press circuit hard to deliver a message to Blue City mayors protecting illegal migrants in sanctuary cities: nothing will stop us.
“If we can’t get assistance from New York City, we may have to double the number of agents we send to New York City,” he said on Fox & Friends on Monday. “Because we’re going to do the job with you or without you.”
The good news for Homan? NYC Mayor Eric Adams is on board. Homan recently spoke with Fox News‘ Sean Hannity about his sitdown with the Big Apple mayor.
“It went great,” Homan told Fox News host Sean Hannity about the meeting, noting that he spoke with Adams for “well over an hour.”
“He gets it. And today he proved that as the mayor of New York City, he’s more concerned with public safety than politics,” the former acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement said.
