This week, Government Accountability Institute president and New York Times bestselling author Peter Schweizer stopped by the Fox Business Network to chat with Larry Kudlow about Linda Sun, the former aide to Governor Kathy Hochul who was indicted for spying for the CCP.
“What do you know about this story? If anything?” Kudlow asked Schweizer, who wrote the bestseller Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win.
“It’s a pretty amazing story. She was the deputy chief of staff to Governor Hochul of New York. Before that, she was the deputy chief for diversity for Andrew Cuomo. She did a bunch of favors for the Chinese, according to the indictment,” Schweizer said.
“Among them, she got Chinese officials access to private New York state government phone calls discussing how they were going to deal with Covid 19. She changed statements to make them more pro-Chinese. She even, basically falsified or listed, the Chinese officials were coming as guests to the state of New York so they could get visas to travel to the United States.”
Schweizer continued: “In exchange, she got millions of dollars. She got a $4 million house on Long Island, a $2 million
condo in Hawaii, and they bought a 2024 Ferrari. So it’s a clear-cut case and is another example of elite capture, this Chinese strategy of trying to get high-level people, you know, people like the Biden family, but also people that work for high-ranking officials on the Chinese payroll.”

Now, House GOP members are pressing New York Governor Kathy Hochul for answers on how a CCP spy could exist so close to high-ranking officials for so long.
“These allegations are deeply disturbing and call into question your judgment in hiring, and listening to, such an individual. I urge the appointment of a bipartisan panel to investigate you and your administration’s actions, and the full impact of Ms. Sun’s influence on the New York State government and economy,” Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) wrote to Hochul, according to a copy of the letter obtained by Fox News Digital.
The congresswoman’s letter said the allegations against Sun “call into question numerous policy decisions by your administration,” and asked “what influence, if any, Ms. Sun had on these decisions.”
“For example, numerous reports have detailed that the CCP operates secret police stations in New York City to monitor, intimidate, and control Chinese New Yorkers and New York State has yet to take serious action against these stations. Did Ms. Sun play any role in the decision to allow these police stations to operate?”
“While these actions have only recently come to light, we still do not know the full impact that Ms. Sun’s actions have had on the New York State government or economy,” Tenney wrote.
