'DUCK' AND COVER: Schweizer Exposes Elaborate Lifestyle of Ex-Hochul Aide and CCP Spy: Mansion, Ferrari Roma, Salted Duck [WATCH]

This week, Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer joined Glenn Beck on his radio show to discuss Linda Sun, 41, and her husband, Christopher Hu, 40, who were arrested for acting as a foreign agent for China in exchange for millions of dollars in kickbacks

Sun worked for former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and current Gov. Kathy Hochul.

“Tell me about this case. What do you know about it?” Beck asked Schweizer.

“Linda Sun was the deputy chief of staff for Kathy Hochul. Before that, she served for years in senior positions for Andrew Cuomo; she was his chief deputy chief diversity officer. And essentially what she’s being charged with in a 60-page indictment is getting millions of dollars from the Chinese government and from the CCP. And she took her position, and used it, for the benefit of China,” Schweizer told Beck.

Schweizer continued: “So, for example, she blocked representatives from the Taiwanese government from even having access to the governor’s office. She altered state messages that were important to Chinese
officials — she’d change a message to benefit them. She also helped Chinese officials travel to the United States. She issued unauthorized invitations that weren’t approved by anyone else.”

“And she gave Chinese officials access to private New York government conversations during the COVID-19 crisis,” Schweizer added, rounding out the list of Sun’s activities as a foreign agent. “In exchange for that, according to prosecutors, she received a lot of benefits from the Chinese government…She was able to buy a $4.1 million long Island home at $2.1 million condo in Hawaii.”

“She and her husband also bought a 2024 Ferrari Roma. And I guess maybe my personal favorite: she’s also accused of getting 16 meals, that were prepared by a Chinese government chef. They were Nanjing-style, salted duck.”

The New York Post reveals Sun and her husband are pleading “Not Guilty” to the charges.

From The New York Post:

An emotionless Sun and Hu both pleaded not guilty to sprawling charges of violating and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act, visa fraud, alien smuggling and money laundering conspiracy during a 30-minute arraignment hearing in Brooklyn federal court Tuesday afternoon.

Both Sun and Hu were released on $1.5 million and $500,000 bonds, respectively, but will have their travel limited to New York City, Long Island, Maine and New Hampshire while the case is pending.

They declined to comment when reporters asked them questions as they left court, but Sun’s lawyer, Jarrod Schaeffer, said, “Our client is understandably upset that these charges have been brought,” and added that “we are looking forward to addressing the allegations in the proper venue, which is in court.”
