Vice President of Research at the Government Accountability Institute and co-host of The Drill Down podcast Eric Eggers stopped by Greg Kelly Reports to discuss former President Donald Trump’s most recent attack on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
The controversy at hand: a Trump comment made on TRUTH Social.
“Is McConnell approving all of these Trillions of Dollars worth of Democrat sponsored Bills, without even the slightest bit of negotiation, because he hates Donald J. Trump, and he knows I am strongly opposed to them, or is he doing it because he believes in the Fake and Highly Destructive Green New Deal, and is willing to take the Country down with him? In any event, either reason is unacceptable. He has a DEATH WISH. Must immediately seek help and advise from his China loving wife, Coco Chow!”
The mainstream media called it a “threat,” they called it “racist” —none of this is true. But what is true, is Mr. Eggers’ analysis of the situation. The short version: Trump is right!
“The reason we know [Trump] is on to something is because the actual substance of the post isn’t being discussed. The media is selecting the most incendiary words…with “death wish” and “Coco Chow,” Eggers says. “[Trump] is right! Mitch McConnel, by supporting the green giveaway and the Inflation Reduction Act and everything else the Democrats have been able to do to pour money into unproven green technology ultimately does end up benefitting China! But the ties are much more direct than that: Elaine Chow’s father owns a company that does direct business with the Chinese government,” Eggers adds.
