“He has some conflicting relationships…”
This week’s episode of The Drill Down podcast (Fail to the Chief) finds GAI President Peter Schweizer and Vice President Eric Eggers discussing the controversial link between White House doctor Kevin O’Connor and Jim Biden, the President’s brother.
“We did some reporting on the failed healthcare start-up that President Biden’s brother Jim attempted after Joe Biden left the White House,” Eggers said. “In June of 2017, Jim Biden and Kevin O’Connor [met] with the COOs of a number of hospital chains that Jim Biden’s hospital concoction would eventually acquire — and that’s based partly on Hunter Biden’s emails.”
“That’s a real thing — and this guy is connected to the Biden business,” Egger said.
Now, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer wants answers.
“The Oversight Committee is concerned your medical assessments have been influenced by your private business endeavors with the Biden family,” Comer wrote in a letter to Dr. O’Connor this week.
While serving as a principal at Americore, Jim Biden also received payments for hundreds of thousands of dollars — including a $200,000 wire in 2018 he used to write a $200,000 check to his brother, Joe Biden, which he labeled as a ‘loan repayment.”
(The Drill Down crew covered this story in a recent podcast episode titled Brother’s Keeper: Jim and Joe Biden’s ‘Loan’ Problem and the Americore Mess Explained.)
Politico was one of the few media outlets to cover the crooked Bidens earlier this year.
From Politico:
In 2017, a hospital operator set out to build a rural healthcare empire with the help of a Philadelphia-area consultant.
The consultant, Jim Biden, had no experience running hospitals. But he did understand the federal government and had ties to labor unions. Perhaps more important, he was the younger brother of Joe Biden.
More important, indeed.
