GOP lawmakers recently reported that encounters with Chinese nationals at the southern border have spiked by more than 6,000% since 2021.

The lawmakers, led by Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) highlighted “the dramatic rise in encounters at our nation’s borders with individuals on the Terrorist Screening Data Set (TSDS) and the unprecedented, otherwise unexplained rise in Chinese nationals – largely adult males – crossing illegally.”

“These developments prove our worst fears: the weakening of our borders and willful lack of enforcement of immigration laws has encouraged America’s adversaries to exploit this national security vulnerability,” they say.

A recent report from The Daily Caller may provide insight into why we’re seeing a surge of Chinese nationals at the southern border; someone is making it easier than ever —and not just Joe Biden.

According to a report from the DCNF, a private group that uses social network Telegram is assisting Chinese immigrants in illegally gaining access to the United States. The group is reportedly run by a self-identified Chinese government agent.

From DCNF:

The American Self-Guided Tour Channel is a Chinese-language group with over 8,000 members on the encrypted instant messaging platform Telegram that serves as both a forum for discussing Chinese illegal immigration and a hub for documents detailing specific routes to the U.S., a DCNF review of the channel found.

Documents in the Telegram channel translated by the DCNF identify U.S. border wall gaps, instruct Chinese nationals on how to answer questions from Border Patrol agents and provide scripts for requesting asylum.

Furthermore, the channel is overseen by an individual who spreads Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda, bans accounts who fail to toe the Party line and identifies himself as a Chinese police officer.

“We’re allowing an element that is completely beyond our law to be established firmly as a beachhead in the United States of America, and the people of America are going to pay a severe price, much worse than we are paying even now,” Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) said.

The private group instructs Chinese nationals how to navigate the U.S. immigration system, including scripts for claiming asylum and answering questions.

Unfortunately, with Biden’s weak border policies, it’s almost as simple as just showing up.
