Kentucky Senator Rand Paul says Fauci is treated “like the president.”

According to a FOIA request made by Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime, supposedly retired ex-NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci is currently enjoying taxpayer-funded security details as well as a private limo to take him from one left-wing media guest spot to the next.

The package reportedly costs hundreds of thousands of dollars and is set to expire in September but there is an option to renew if necessary. The retirement perks were ordered by the Attorney General himself, Merrick Garland.

Senator Rand Paul contacted the Department of Health and Human Services to learn more.

“HHS actually came back to us and said they haven’t been paying for it since January. But then we discovered that Fox did a Freedom of Information Act and a judge forced them to say that, well, while HHS wasn’t directly funding it, the US Marshals were funding it,” Paul said.

“So it’s a terrible example of the government lying to its representatives and to the people. But also, why is a retired guy, the only retired official I know of that gets this kind of treatment is a former president,” Paul added.

“So I have no idea why this bureaucrat still has a limo driver security detail.”

“The only retired official I know of that gets this kind of treatment is a former president. So, I have no idea why this bureaucrat still has a limo driver, security detail, and we want to know, does he still get legal representation? Because I think he may need that eventually,” concluded Rand Paul.

Legal representation? That’s right…

Recently released emails from 2020 show that Fauci knew scientists at Wuhan University were working on gain-of-function experiments. Now, Rand Paul is calling for Fauci to be investigated for lying to Congress.

Fauci told a Senate committee in July 2021 that the National Institutes of Health “has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).”

According to an analysis, Dr. Fauci and his wife’s net worth soared during the pandemic, from $7.5 million in 2019 to $12.6 million at the end of 2021.

He can afford his own limo.
