They promised accountability and transparency —and we may be getting it…

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee dropped a more than 1,000-page report on Friday detailing, among other things, the FBI’s close ties to Facebook; a secret portal was established for the feds in which they can request the deletion of anything deemed “misinformation” by the Biden Admin.

Not surprisingly, these requests tend to come with a hefty dose of pro-Democrat bias.

“As part of a program likely codenamed ‘Operation Bronze Griffin,’ the FBI allegedly accepts private user information from Facebook, but without the user’s consent or the legal process the FBI would otherwise need to independently pursue such user-related information,” the report says.

Sounds like spying on Americans, no?

“Furthermore, according to whistleblower information, the types of user content that Facebook provides have a partisan focus, tending only to concern users from one side of the political spectrum,” the document continues.

Sounds like spying on conservatives, no?

“The FBI’s willingness to accept this political speech information from Facebook — outside of routine investigative pathways — further threatens Americans’ constitutional rights,” the report continues.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg hinted at this kind of collaborative relationship back in August while speaking with podcast host Joe Rogan about the Hunter Biden laptop story.

“The background here is the FBI, I think, basically came to us — some folks on our team — and was like, ‘Hey, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert,’”  Zuckerberg told Rogan.

The 1,000+ page very likely foreshadows where the GOP will focus its oversight efforts after the midterm elections next week. If Republicans take the House, Senate, or both, we can expect a barrage of hearings and investigations.

Ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) says, “the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the stewardship of Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, is broken.”

This report shows Americans how broken it really is.
