SCHWEIZER: 'What We're Talking About Here is the Capture of the Oval Office' [WATCH]

Government Accountability Institute president Peter Schweizer joined House Oversight Chair Rep. James Comer (R-IN) on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo for a conversation that cut to the quick of a deepening national concern: Who was running the Biden White House?

Schweizer raised alarm over reports that President Biden signed pardons and executive orders via autopen—suggesting not just detachment, but dereliction.

“What we’re talking about here is essentially the capture of the Oval Office, potentially by people who were not elected, who are really running things,” Schweizer said.

Comer, chair of the Oversight Committee, zeroed in on who’s really calling the shots. He pointed to presidential physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor and a web of Biden staffers possibly shielding the President’s condition while facilitating influence-peddling schemes. “This isn’t just a health question—it’s a power question,” Comer said.

Last week, President Trump expressed doubt that Joe Biden’s executive orders actually came from Joe Biden.

“I don’t believe it was Joe Biden,” Trump said.

“He’s been a sort of a moderate person over his life, and a smart person, but somewhat vicious person, I will say, if you feel sorry for him, don’t feel so sorry because he’s vicious,” he said.

“Do you think that [former first lady] Dr. Jill Biden should also have to come in and testify about what she did or didn’t do?” Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked.

“You have somebody operating it, or a number of people operating it,” the president said. “I knew Joe Biden. Joe Biden was not in favor of opening up borders, letting 21 million people into this country. … Who signed these orders, proclamations, and all of the different things that he signed that set our country so far back?”
