SCHWEIZER: It's Easier to Vote in a Federal Election Than It Is to Buy Something From Costco [WATCH]

Even Costco is requiring IDs now.

During a recent episode of The Drill Down podcast, GAI President and bestselling author Peter Schweizer revealed it is now harder to shop at Costco than it is to vote in a federal election. Why? One requires an ID.

Schweizer namechecked the wholesale store while discussing the integrity of U.S. elections.

“I was just noticing the other day Costco is cracking down on people walking in with a Costco card waving it.
They’re actually now matching the photo to the person coming into Costco. It’s easier to vote in a federal election in the United States, which requires no ID than it is to actually go pick up something at a discount at Costco,” Schweizer said.

Schweizer continued: “The notion that there are all these ordinary Americans walking around that don’t have an ID, can’t get an ID, and aren’t able to show one at the voting booth is just patently absurd.”

A new report from the Government Accountability Institute categorizes fifty different threats to election integrity according to whether they concern the influence of “dark money,” lawfare operations, voter fraud, or election fraud. The report documents examples of each and offers potential solutions.

On the most recent episode of The Drill Down Peter Schweizer and co-host Eric Eggers tackle the many ways elections can be rigged and, more importantly, how to make sure that it doesn’t happen. Many states have been conscientious about cleaning their voter rolls — removing deceased voters, voters who have left the state, voters who are not US citizens but who were registered through their driver’s license applications, and so forth.
