‘No, We Are Not Vaccinating People’: Biden’s Border Gets Worse —Somehow.

More Muddied COVID Messaging and Broken Border Policies Down South.

It’s getting really difficult to keep up with all the contradictory messages coming out of the Biden Administration.

First, Fauci told PBS News “We are certainly, right now, out of the pandemic phase…We don’t have 900,000 new infections a day and tens and tens and tens and tens of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands of deaths. We are at a low level right now.”

But then he walked it back on NPR, saying “I probably should have said the acute component of the pandemic phase, and I understand how that can lead to some misinterpretation.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki also walked it back, saying “What Dr. Fauci was saying is that we are in a different phase of this pandemic, and that’s absolutely true…we also know COVID isn’t over and the pandemic isn’t over.”

But, with Title 42 set to expire this month, it sounds like the pandemic is over at the southern border —just not for everyday Americans.

And now reports say the Biden Administration has stopped vaccinating migrants at the border.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, “Border Patrol officials in the Rio Grande Valley are exempting migrants from such countries as Guatemala, Haiti, and Mexico from vaccine mandates. And migrants from Nicaragua, Cuba, and Venezuela must only receive one dose of the vaccine before they are released into the U.S. interior.”

In March, the DHS said they would expand migrant vaccinations in certain regions —but now, that whole plan seems to have been thrown out; some say it’s “optional.”

“It depends on the shift, to be honest,” one individual familiar with the matter told the Washington Free Beacon. “You talk to guys who work around midnight, and they’re not vaccinating anyone. It’s really more of an optional policy.”

With the lifting of Title 42, experts predict as many as 18,000 migrants per day at the border.

“We’re getting steamrolled out here by the thousands,” one border officer said. “No, we are not vaccinating people.”

The Biden Administration has been unable to set the narrative on the border —and it’s difficult to spin numbers so damning (221,000 encounters in March alone). It’s so bad, prominent GOP voices are calling for DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ resignation.

“In light of recent reports displaying your failure to execute the primary mission of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to secure our nation from its many threats through your inability and refusal to enforce the immigration laws, we call on you to resign as Secretary of Homeland Security,” read a February letter from Rep. Kevin Hern (R-OK) that was signed by 45 other House Republicans.

We need fresh leadership at the border and someone who knows if we’re in a pandemic or not.
