Government Accountability VP Eric Eggers joined Ivory Hecker on OAN recently to discuss the investigation into Tim Walz’s ties to China after a congressional subpoena issued by GOP-led House committees.
After Hecker recounted a long list of Walz’s questionable connections to China, Eggers applauded the “comprehensive breakdown” but assured her there was even more to Walz’s troubling past.
“You forgot to mention that he as the head of the State Board of Investment in Minnesota, put $900 million worth of Minnesota tax dollars pension plan money into China,” Eggers said. “And, Minneapolis is one of these five or six places where these secret Chinese prisons allegedly exist.”
“So there remain very questionable ties to China.”
Eggers continued: “I’d also mention that in this alleged Microsoft Teams chat that we’re subpoenaing the records for, the title of it includes the initials NST, which stands for, nation-state threat. So obviously Homeland Security is aware of very concerning national security threats that the Tim Walz affiliations with China may pose.”
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer confirmed similar information about the initials “NST” appearing in a Microsoft Teams chat in a press release announcing th subponae last month.
“The Committee has recently received whistleblower disclosures informing the Committee of serious concern among Department of Homeland personnel regarding a longstanding connection between the CCP and Minnesota Governor Timothy James Walz,” wrote Chairman James Comer.“Specifically, through whistleblower disclosures, the Committee has learned of a non-classified, Microsoft Teams group chat among DHS employees—titled ‘NST NFT Bi-Weekly Sync’—that contains information about Governor Walz that is relevant to the Committee’s investigation. The Committee has also learned that further relevant information regarding Governor Walz has been memorialized in both classified and unclassified documents in the control of DHS.”
