JFK Assassination Expert: How Did Trump Shooter Fire 8 Shots Before Secret Service Reacted?! [WATCH]

During a recent special edition of The Drill Down podcast, Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer and Vice President Eric Eggers spoke with JFK assassination expert and author Gerald Posner. The question at hand: Was the Secret Service “creating a situation” where Trump could be shot?

During the interview, Posner addresses how shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks could fire off 8 shots before Secret Service counter snipers were able to react.

“One of the things I think you did in incredible detail in Case Closed is you took all the things that seemed to suggest or point towards a conspiracy and you went through them one by one and said ‘okay, but here’s what’s actually true and here’s the explanation for that.’ One of my favorite phrases of all time is never mistake incompetence for conspiracy,’ Eggers said while speaking with Posner.

“From what you’ve seen so far, what hasn’t been plausibly explained away?” Eggers asked Posner.

“Crooks, the 20-year-old shooter, is on the roof — and he can hear people shouting down on the ground for a couple of minutes beforehand (saying) ‘There he is. I see him. Officer!’ He could have easily panicked. And then the next thing you know, a policeman actually gets to the top of the roof! At that point, he looks over and he falls back but you don’t know if three other police are running over. And what does he then do? He manages to not just get off a shot but eight shots, which is remarkable, and no one on the Secret Service communications says ‘Gun! Gun! Gun!’ No wonder we think something is fishy here,” Posner said.

Posner has been following the hearings into the Secret Service’s failure, and he has many questions. “We knew there have been screw-ups before, but they can’t keep it silent anymore because people who attend the rally take out their cell phones and start recording what happened. Everybody could see — ‘Hey, there he is! There’s that guy! Look at that guy on the roof! Hey, officers!’ — So, we know more than they are telling us. No wonder we think something is fishy here.”

Before the event, the shooter “was walking around with a range finder and apparently a large backpack and they were tracking him. And then the Secret Service was made aware, they’re saying they now knew 30 minutes in advance,” Posner says. “Why did they allow Trump to take that stage?”
