Border Patrol Agents Accused of Whipping Haitian Migrants Were Cleared Last Year.

Last year, media outlets on the left latched onto an entirely fabricated story about Border Patrol Agents whipping Hatian migrants down by the Rio Grande. It was racist; it was inhumane.

It wasn’t true.

Despite the fact that the Border Patrol Agents denied the story —and the photographer who took pictures of the agents supporting their claim —Dems had already decided: these men were the most vile, evil human beings to ever exist. The Biden Administration weighed in:

“It’s outrageous, I promise you, those people will pay … [T]here is [an] investigation underway now, and there will be consequences,” Biden said. “There will be consequences.”

Vice President Kamala Harris said the situation evoked tactics “used against the Indigenous people of our country, [have] been used against African Americans during times of slavery.” “Human beings should not be treated that way,” Harris added.

Again —they weren’t.

But the train had left the station. And now, outraged Democrats have compiled a 500-page report on the incident —an incredible waste of time and resources. “I’ve never seen a 500-page report where no one did anything wrong,” Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd said.

A copy of the report has yet to be made public.

So this fake crime is responsible for this very real report —this government waste. Additionally, Border Patrol Agents have been barred from using horses by DHS, despite horseback being the preferred method of traversal for the tough border terrain.

But it sounds like Border Patrol Agents have continued to use them anyway.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, “Although the White House pledged to ban horses in the area, a review of Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens’s Twitter account shows agents in the Del Rio Sector have been using horses for months. On April 4, Owens tweeted out pictures of agents on horseback apprehending migrants by the Brackettville Station. Another tweet from Owens on Jan. 29 shows an agent on horseback next to a group of more than 30 migrants.”

So even the consequences for the fake crime are fake —way to go, Biden Administration.

Not one member of the Administration has apologized for the snap judgment —even after the photographer admitted the agents had done no harm.

“I didn’t ever see them whip anybody, with the thing,” photographer Paul Ratije told El Paso TV station KTSM. “He was swinging it. But I didn’t see him actually take — whip someone with it.”

Because it didn’t happen.

The crime was fake. The consequences are fake. But the left’s outrage —very real.
