Americans cannot trust the FBI to get to the bottom of the U.S. Secret Service’s handling of the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, according to investigative journalist Susan Crabtree.
Crabtree discussed the politicization of the FBI and the Secret Service on a recent episode of the Sean Hannity radio show, hosted by Peeter Schweizer and Eric Eggers of the Government Accountability Institute. “We cannot count on a politically compromised FBI to provide any type of transparency or information to Congress,” said Crabtree.
And when the Secret Service did choose to talk to the media, it was only to sympathetic voices: “[Former Secret Service chief] Kimberly Cheatle chose to sit down with an ABC news reporter. They went with people that are friendly to them, instead of the Washington Post reporters who have a Pulitzer Prize for covering the Secret Service.”
