The FBI is stonewalling, but Comer is determined to get answers.

According to House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer, FBI Director Christopher Wray continues to play games with an FBI FD-1023 form that implicates President Joe Biden in a Ukrainian bribery scandal first revealed by a credible FBI informant back in 2017; Biden was reportedly given $5 million dollars.

The copy of the form reviewed by Comer and ranking member Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) had 10% of the information redacted, according to the Kentucky rep. Now, Comer and his committee plan on holding Wray in contempt; Comer introduced the resolution on Wednesday.

“We have been clear that the FBI must produce the unclassified FD-1023 record to the custody of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. To date, the FBI has refused to comply with our lawfully issued subpoena and even refused to admit the record’s existence up until a week ago. Once Director Wray confirmed the record’s existence, the FBI started their coverup by leaking a false narrative to the media. The case is not closed as the White House, Democrats, and the FBI would have the American people believe,” Comer said in a statement.

“Americans have lost trust in the FBI’s ability to enforce the law impartially and demand answers, transparency, and accountability. The Oversight Committee must follow the facts for the American people and ensure the federal government is held accountable.”

From The Daily Caller:

Comer and committee ranking member Jamie Raskin of Maryland viewed an FD-1023 document at FBI headquarters on Monday. The document contains interview notes from a long-time bureau source who alleged that then-Vice President Joe Biden was involved in a bribery scheme. Comer has repeatedly sought hard copies of the document, but FBI officials claim that providing them would jeopardize an ongoing investigation.

The Oversight Committee is scheduled to mark up the contempt resolution at a Thursday hearing, and will then vote on whether or not to hold Wray in contempt. The resolution is expected to pass.

Over in the Senate, Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is also pushing for the full release of the FD-1023 form, stressing its importance to ongoing investigations into the Bidens.

“Partisan media, most likely in conjunction with the Biden FBI, have misleadingly reported the 1023 is from a tranche of information provided by Rudy Giuliani. News reports last week dispel that notion and make clear the 1023 information that we request is independent of Giuliani,” Grassley stated in a speech given on the Senate floor.

“Those news reports also show that the source who formed the basis of the 1023 is a long-serving FBI source. The source reportedly received numerous validations from the FBI. The source reportedly operated even during the Obama administration. Based on what I’ve been told about yesterday’s meeting, the FBI didn’t contradict these findings,” Grassley continues.

“Today, I can say that based upon unclassified and legally protected whistleblower disclosures the FBI source in the 1023 has been paid at least two-hundred thousand dollars by the FBI since the source was opened and operational,” he added. “High dollar payments obviously mean the FBI believes the source to be credible and reputable.”

Credible. Reputable. Paid $200K by the FBI. If President Biden isn’t nervous, he should be.
