The Biden Administration won’t protect the border —and they won’t let border states, like Greg Abbott’s Texas, help themselves. Now, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity Security, and Enforcement Chairman Tom McClintock want answers on why Biden’s DHS is cutting a razor wire at the southern border.

Jordan and McClintock penned a letter to DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas inquiring as to why the Biden Administration would take a pair of bolt cutters —and later a forklift(!) —to a protective border in Eagle Pass, Texas. The lawmakers start with some fast facts.

 “The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released nearly 2.9 million illegal aliens into U.S. communities, and more than 1.7 million known ‘gotaways’ have evaded Border Patrol and escaped into the interior since January 20, 2021.”

This shockingly high number is correct —and doesn’t even mention the record-breaking number of illegal migrants who are on the FBI’s terrorist watchlist.

The lawmakers continue…

“At the same time, the Biden Administration, rather than deterring illegal aliens attempting to cross the southwest border, chose to cut and remove Concertina wire and fencing installed by state and local governments in Eagle Pass, Texas. In fact, as encounters continued to surge in Eagle Pass, and while a lawsuit challenging the practice was pending, the Biden Administration ‘escalated matters, trading bolt cutters for an industrial-strength telehandler forklift to dismantle Texas’s border fence…'”

Now, Mayorkas has until November 20th to produce documents pertaining to:

Cutting, interfering with, or removing Concertina wire and fencing installed by state and local governments at the southwest border, including the decision to cut or interfere with Concertina wire before, during, or after the September 20, 2023, influx in Eagle Pass, Texas, and an identification of the individual(s) who made the decision to cut or interfere with the Concertina wire;

Whether the Administration has a policy to cut or interfere with Concertina wire
or fencing installed by state or local governments, allowing illegal aliens to enter
the country, and an explanation of such policy;

Last week while giving testimony on Capitol Hill, Mayorkas revealed that more than 600,000 migrants have entered the United States without being apprehended by border agents. And while he’s consistently sworn that the border is secure, here’s what he had to say:

“The phenomenon of ‘gotaways’ is something that has been a challenge for the Department of Homeland Security for decades. In fact, it is a powerful example of a broken immigration system.”

So the border is not secure. In fact, Mayorkas’ DHS is enabling illegal immigration to the extent that they are physically destroying protective barriers to allow millions of illegal migrants in under Joe Biden.

Let’s hope Jordan and McClintock get some answers.
