BRUNER: The Left's Violent Rhetoric is 'Unacceptable,' 'The Temperature Needs to Come Down'

Immediately after an assassination attempt on President Trump’s life, leftwing commentators publicly stated their wish that the assassin’s bullet did not miss.

And within ten days, top democrats including Kamala Harris and Joe Biden got back to work vilifying the former president and stoking the divisions that Joe Biden swore to tone back.

During a recent interview with OAN’s Katie Smith, Director of Research at the Government Accountability Institute Seamus Bruner laid into the left for using violent language.

“You remember Maxine Waters saying you have to get up into, Donald Trump supporters’ faces and make sure that they know they’re not welcome here,” Bruner said. “You had, Madonna and Johnny Depp talking about blowing up the White House. I mean, the temperature needs to come down, and the Democrat leadership in the House needs to lead the charge in that because this is an unacceptable type of rhetoric.”

J.R. Klein shared a montage on X of  Democrat lawmakers calling Trump a dictator and suggesting violence as an acceptable option during protests.

“When the Democrats say, ‘I don’t know how this could happen? Political violence is never okay.’ Just show them this montage… let’s see… what would an unhinged person do after watching this:” Klein shared on X along with the video.

After being provoked by lawmakers and the mainstream media, some Democrats resort to violence — often without fear of repercussions.

X account Insurrection Barbie shared an example of leftist violence earlier this year.

“You want to talk about leftist violence? Look at Biden voters attack a black mom walking with her daughter, knock out a man walking and attack Trump supporters in DC. Anyone in the media calling the right violent are a bunch of evil and dishonest lowlifes. I could make a feature-length film of leftist violence clips,” Barbie said.
