BRUNER SAYS: Elon Musk and DOGE Are Coming for the Pentagon [WATCH]

During a recent appearance, GAI Director of Research Seamus Bruner said that bureaucrats have been enriching themselves for way too long with taxpayer money through programs that nobody really understands.

But DOGE is bringing a stop to that — even at the Pentagon.

Bruner made the claim while speaking with NEWSMAX host Lidia Curanaj.

“DOGE is upending entire business models in the swamp, and that is why everyone’s freaking out about it. For way too long, decades really, the people of Washington, D.C. have been getting rich off of the taxpayer’s dime, and they do it through all these programs,” Bruner said.

Bruner continued: “And it’s also complicated. Nobody can understand what these things are for. They use things like climate change or, D.C.-type stuff to really pad their own pockets.”

According to The New York Times, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered senior military and Defense Department officials to prepare proposals to reallocate $50 billion, or about 8 percent, from this year’s budget.

The Pentagon would then undergo this process annually for the next five years.

Firing as many as 55,000 probationary employees would also yield savings.

“Bottom line, it is simply not in the public interest to retain individuals whose contributions are not mission critical,” Mr. Hegseth said in a video statement last week.
