The beleaguered U.S. Secret Service, accused of botching its mission of protecting former President Donald Trump, has yet more trouble ahead, according to investigative journalist Susan Crabtree.
“We have the UN General Assembly coming up, and I’m hearing that they are hundreds of agents short to protect that event,” says Crabtree, who has been reporting on the agency for a dozen years. Crabtree made the revelation on Sean Hannity’s radio show, which was hosted by the Government Accountability Institute’s Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers.
The news about the agent shortage on the cusp of the UN session comes on the heels of Robert Kennedy Jr.’s secret service attachment being taken away from him after he endorsed Donald Trump, and got out of the presidential race.
“Certainly, the Secret Service is stretched beyond imagination at this point,” said Crabtree.
