BLM Falls Out of Compliance in Several States Due to Lack of Financial Transparency.

Black Lives Matter has raked in billions of dollars in just a few short years —and not everyone knows where it’s going, including members of BLM. It’s a bit of a financial mess: founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors bought four homes for $3.2 million dollars (then resigned); then her wife bought a $6.3 million dollar ex-communist headquarters mansion in Toronto.

…there’s some shady stuff going on.

“Unfortunately, this appears to be an epic abuse of public trust in which an entire movement’s resources are being squandered on the whims and financial mismanagement of one person and their inner circle of friends and family,” said Tom Anderson, director of the Government Integrity Project of the National and Legal Policy Center, a Virginia-based watchdog group.

Yikes.

It’s this very lack of financial transparency and questionable money managing decisions that has lead Amazon to suspend the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation from its AmazonSmile charity program. AmazonSmile allows shoppers to donate 0.5% from their purchase to a list of charities provided by Amazon.

BLMGNF is no longer on that list —for now.

“We offer the AmazonSmile program to make it easy for our customers to support their favorite charitable organizations, and we work to offer a broad spectrum of organizations, including those working to end racial injustice,” an Amazon spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “States have rules for nonprofits, and organizations participating in AmazonSmile need to meet those rules. Unfortunately this organization fell out of compliance with the rules in several states, so we’ve had to temporarily suspend them from the program until they come into compliance”

A spokesperson for BLMGNF released a statement on the suspension.

“We take these matters seriously and have taken immediate action,” the spokesperson told FOX Business. “We have immediately engaged compliance counsel to address any issues related to state fundraising compliance. In the interim, we have shut down online fundraising as we work quickly to ensure we are meeting all compliance requirements.”

But BLM’s Amazon suspension is really just the tip of the iceberg —they have dozens of unanswered financial questions to tackle, including who’s in charge of the money?

“At the end of 2020, Black Lives Matter said in an impact report that it raised $90 million, spent $8.4 million in operating expenses, distributed $21.7 million in grants to 33 other organizations, and closed the year with a $60 million balance. An investigation conducted by the Examiner found that BLM has not publicly named anyone in charge of the roughly $60 million bankroll since its co-founder, Patrisse Cullors, resigned in May 2021,” Fox news reports.

Uh, that’s a problem. A HUGE problem. So who can investigators speak to about this? Because the right-leaning charity watchdog Influence Watch says it is not clear who leads BLMGNF.

Oh okay, then. So what are we left with? Who’s watching the watchmen?
