GRASSROOTS OR ASTROTURF? Bruner Talks Billionaires Behind 'No Kings,' Dangers of Relying on AI [WATCH]

Seamus Bruner, Director of Research at the Government Accountability Institute, recently spoke on the ZeroHedge podcast about billionaire-backed dark money funding the recent run of far-left protests.

Donors like George Soros, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg pumped cash into the recent “No Kings” protests with $114.8 million through the Arabella Advisors dark money network.

But even with this funding, Bruner says the protests lacked genuine grassroots enthusiasm but are part of a broader strategy by left-wing elites to influence politics and public opinion.

Bruner blasts the Biden Administration’s use of trillions in federal spending to indirectly support progressive causes, citing three main goals: enriching oligarchs through green energy investments, financing left-wing NGOs influencing voter demographics, and undermining conservative industries like fossil fuels and farming.

Bruner also dives into concerns about AI technology and the government’s use of powerful AI tools. These technologies (ID systems, digital currencies), even under trusted administrations, could threaten privacy and freedoms if controlled by political opponents.

Finally, Bruner warns of the social risks from AI-driven job losses, arguing widespread displacement could increase dependence on government welfare, paving the way for universal basic income and greater government control.

AI has its benefits, but is unchecked tech advancement empowering elites at the expense of everyday Americans?

Watch above for Bruner’s take.
