The Biden Administration probably wishes they could take this grant back…
According to a report from The Washington Free Beacon, President Joe Biden and his administration awarded a Gaza university a $100K taxpayer-funded grant last month to promote “community service” and “action planning” among the youth in Gaza.
Aside from the vague definition and intentions —it gets worse…
After Hamas attacked and killed more than 1,000 Israelis — and 11 Americans, with kidnappings “likely” according to President Biden — the Gaza university that received the grant proceeded to praise the terrorist group on social media.
“Glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs,” Al-Quds Open University wrote on Facebook after the terrorists slaughtered young Israelis at a party. The school even announced a temporary closure to mark a “day of commitment to the comprehensive strike” against Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed revenge in an address Monday evening.
“We are on the third day of the operation,” he said. “We are in an operation for our home, a war to ensure our existence, a war that we will win,” he says.
“This war was imposed upon us by a despicable enemy — by savages who celebrate the murder of women, children, and the elderly.”
The Biden Administration will certainly face scrutiny — and possible GOP investigations — for handing money over to a school so chummy with a terrorist organization.
“The administration’s ties to Al-Quds Open University and other organizations in the region are certain to face Republican scrutiny in the wake of the Hamas onslaught, the worst domestic attack in Israel’s history. Republican lawmakers have criticized the Biden administration for lifting a hold on $6 billion in funds for Iran, a major funder of Hamas,” Free Beacon reports.
“The State Department last month launched a joint doctoral program for computer science students from Al-Quds Open University and Georgia State University. The State Department’s Office of Palestinian Affairs, which oversees the program, touted it as ‘central to the long-term prosperity of Palestinian society,’” WFB adds.
In the wake of these horrific attacks, the Biden Administration may want to consider if a prosperous Palestine is something they actually want.
