'YOU AND I WOULD GO TO PRISON FOR THIS!' Bruner Blasts NY AG Letitia James, 'She's in a World of Trouble Right Now' [WATCH]

“This is big-time stuff.”

During a recent media appearance, Seamus Bruner, Director of Research at the Government Accountability Institute, told Newsmax’s Carl Higbie that New York Attorney General Letitia James faces serious questions — from possible mortgage fraud and false statements to securing a $10 million taxpayer-funded legal defense.

“The hypocrisy knows no bounds,” Bruner said. “It’s the same with Senator Adam Schiff. And mortgage fraud is a huge problem amongst elected officials. They like to fudge numbers. You and I would go to prison for this stuff. They tried to bury Trump under the prison for things that weren’t even crimes.”

Bruner continued: ‘[Trump] actually did give accurate figures on his mortgage and lending application. Letitia James is in a world of trouble right now.”

The Department of Justice also recently opened an investigation into James for her civil case against Donald Trump during his 2024 campaign.

The investigation, launched at the direction of Attorney General Pam Bondi, is still in its early stages. But Fox News Digital says that James’s office was served subpoenas this week — including demands for documents tied to her civil fraud case against Trump.

A spokesperson for James suggested the latest action by the DOJ was a “weaponization” of its prosecutorial power.

“Any weaponization of the justice system should disturb every American,” the spokesperson said. “We stand strongly behind our successful litigation against the Trump Organization and the National Rifle Association, and we will continue to stand up for New Yorkers’ rights.”

What do you think: will James face justice for mortgage fraud? for her civil case against Donald Trump?
