Surely, there are better ways to spend two million dollars?

The Biden Administration’s spending spree knows no bounds —and it’s proven incredibly wasteful. From COVID fraud to DEI waste, America, under Mr. Biden, is hemorrhaging cash. Take this latest example of a college study program financed by the National Institute of Health.

“According to a grant listing from the Department of Health and Human Services, the program, known as Monitoring Microaggressions and Adversities to Generate Interventions for Change, seeks to discover how ‘comments, jokes, and behaviors that are demeaning to a marginalized group’ affect health outcomes,” The Washington Free Beacon Reports.

The studied group was nearly as intersectional as you can get: Queer black women with HIV. These women “live at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities and within social structures that take a daily toll,” the grant description states.

The grant says the impact of microaggressions on this group has “largely been ignored.”

So here’s two million dollars to…make jokes directed at queer black women with HIV? What exactly is the NIH hoping to solve with this initiative?

From The Washington Free Beacon:

The program is supervised by Sannisha Dale, an associate professor of psychology, who chairs the department’s Diversity and Equity Committee.

Dale’s first contact with the project was in 2019, according to the University’s website. Through text messages and regular visits, the grant team monitored 151 women to understand how microaggressions affected their daily levels of distress and consumption of medication.

“[Microaggressions] can be someone saying, ‘She doesn’t look like she’s positive,’ as if HIV has a face,” Dale said. “Or ‘I’m HIV negative, I’m clean,’ as if someone else is dirty.”

This eyebrow-raising use of government funds has become par for the course for the Biden Administration. Biden’s budget includes $400 million to help LGBTQ Africans access the internet and in January the National Endowment for the Humanities awarded a $350,000 grant to the University of Washington to create a “Spanish-language version of the Homosaurus.” The dictionary, which features a dinosaur standing under a rainbow as its logo.

Not sure where to even start with that one.
