GAI President Peter Schweizer sat down with Steve Bannon to discuss his #1 New York Times bestselling book, The Invisible Coup, which shows how Mexico and China “weaponize immigration” to undermine America.
Schweizer says the book’s claims have already drawn a public response from Claudia Sheinbaum — but with a tell: she denied the allegations while refusing to use his name, calling him “that man with that book.”
Schweizer argues the denial doesn’t square with what he calls documentation in the book, including Mexican consular officials, he says, who admit they pay for citizenship applications to create voters, and that they conspire against Republicans.
“Well, it’s funny she didn’t use my name,” Schweizer said. “She says absolutely false. But the book literally quotes Mexican consular officials as saying, this is what they’re doing.”
Schweizer continued: “They’re talking about how they are conspiring against Trump to preserve Republicans from getting elected. There are quotes in there from consular officials saying that they’re paying for people to apply for citizenship because they want to get more voters. She’s denying the facts her own people are saying.”
Then comes the quote he says underscores the mindset. Schweizer cites a Mexican news agency head saying: “We are quietly carrying out the reconquest of our territories the US took from us in 1848. The reconquest is silent, and the day the gringos realize this, their diabolical fundamentalism will become macabre.”
From there, he zooms out to infrastructure and scale. Schweizer points to Mexico’s footprint — 53 U.S. consulates — and says they coordinate with Democratic activists and organize anti-ICE protests, contrasting that with China’s six and the UK’s seven.
On China, Schweizer said birthright citizenship is being exploited “on an industrial scale,” alleging roughly 100,000 Chinese nationals a year give birth in the U.S., return to China to raise their children, and create more than 1.3 million future voters raised under CCP control.
Schweizer ties that pipeline to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, claiming it was written by a Chinese spy, and alleging 90% of recipients are Chinese nationals who donate tens of millions to campaigns at an 80–20 Democratic split.
Schweizer also shares a bit about his next steps, including testifying before the United States Senate Judiciary Committee in March on birthright citizenship.
