Here’s a wake-up call for the Biden Administration courtesy of Senator Tom Cotton…
“It only took 19 Al Qaeda operatives to kill nearly 3,000 Americans on September 11, 2001…Many, many times that number of known terrorists have surely crossed our southern border since Joe Biden took office,” Cotton told the Examiner earlier this month.
“His open border is the gravest terrorist threat to the U.S. homeland.”
And he’s right. While the White House has been railing against “MAGA Republicans” and “White Nationalism,” a record-breaking number of migrants with ties to terrorism have made their way across the porous southern border.
“Since the start of fiscal 2023 last October through August, Border Patrol agents on the U.S.-Mexico boundary have caught 151 non-U.S. citizens who, after being processed, were determined to be on the FBI’s terror watch list for being a terrorist or affiliated with someone who was,” the Examiner reports.
18 of those arrests were made in September alone.
Additionally, 10,000 illegal immigrants from special interest countries Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, and Syria have been arrested attempting to cross the southern border between October 2021 and October 2023.
The Department of Homeland Security doesn’t seem too concerned about this…
“The Department of Homeland Security is committed to protecting the American people and safeguarding our borders, and the Department is constantly working to improve information sharing and execute our vital mission,” a DHS official wrote in a statement.
Are they, though?
According to a House Judiciary Committee report released earlier this month, Customs and Border Protection has observed nearly 1.7 million illegal migrants cross into America but admits the department lacks the resources to track these 1.7 million.
That’s a significant number of untrackable, unidentified potential terrorists entering the country. Is it any wonder the GOP is hesitant to greenlight billions in aid to protect the borders of other countries while ignoring the dumpster fire here at home? Or why the Biden Administration is getting serious GOP pushback on taking in refugees from the Gaza Strip?
