Appearing on the Fox News program Sunday Futures with Maria Bartiromo, investigative journalist Peter Schweizer commented on the recent unrest in Minneapolis.
“Do you believe there are do you believe there are any outside agitators on the ground right now in Minneapolis? And what is your reaction to a second fatal shooting?” Bartiromo asked author Schweizer.
“The chaos in Minneapolis is absolutely horrifying. And I think that foreign actors benefit from that,” Schweizer said.
Schweizer’s brand new book, The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon, details how Mexico, China, and the Muslim Brotherhood are weaponizing immigration. They are using mass migration to undermine American sovereignty, influence U.S. politics, and reshape the country from within. The book has topped Amazon’s bestseller list in its first week of release. And its findings are directly relevant to the immigration-related unrest in Minneapolis right now.
“Here’s what we know: We know that foreign powers like Mexico are actively involved in organizing what they call the resistance to Donald Trump. Those are not my words. That’s what Mexican officials living inside the United States say.”
“A gentleman named Mr. Robles, who lives in Ontario, California, serves in the Mexican Parliament, and he’s a high-ranking Morena Party official in Mexico. He went around the country in 2025 saying that he was ‘organizing the militancy’ inside the United States, working with activist groups,” Schweizer says in the book. There are other Mexican officials quoted in the book saying the same thing, he says.
But what of the activists on the ground in Minneapolis?
“There are a couple of groups that are very actively involved in the anti-ICE protests. One of them is in the same building as the [St. Paul] Mexican consulate and has worked aggressively with them,” Schweizer explains. “It’s called CLUES (Comunidades Latinas Unidas En Servicio). There’s another organization called MIRAC (Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee) that has also worked very closely with the Mexican consulate. So, I think we need to look at the political activities and agitation that Mexico is engaged in in the United States.”
This is but one theme from the book, which focuses on many different foreign governments and their activities inside the US.
“We’re looking at immigration the wrong way,” Schweizer says. “The motivation of foreign actors is to weaponize immigration. China has a very sophisticated program for exploiting US birthright citizenship, and the Supreme Court is s going to be hearing this case.”
“Our federal government has no idea how many children are being minted as US citizens using this technique, but China has encouraged this,” Schweizer reports. “The Chinese government believes that, during every year for the past 13 years, roughly 100,000 Chinese babies have been born in the United States that were then taken back and raised in China. When they turn 18, they’re going to be US citizens. They can vote in elections, donate to political campaigns, and get government jobs. That’s more than a million voters. And remember that the 2016 election was settled by 80,000 votes.”
“It’s a massive exploitation of our immigration laws,” Schweizer says. “And other entities like the Muslim Brotherhood and the Mexican government are doing the same sort of thing.”
