Why were so many illegal aliens let into the country? Author Peter Schweizer discusses his book “The Invisible Coup” with Vince Coglianese on The Vince Show and reveals how foreign governments are weaponizing immigration against America.
Schweizer’s book just debuted as the #1 New York Times bestseller, his fifth book in a row to achieve that distinction. The new book exposes Mexico’s strategic use of mass migration, citing Mexican government officials who openly declare they’re reclaiming U.S. territory. Mexican consulates actively work with Democratic activists to turn red states blue and organize violent protests.
“People think of Mexico as kind of this hapless, corrupt government. And, and they are, but they view mass migration very differently than we do,” Schweizer tells Coglianese. “It’s not just a safety valve for them. It’s not just that people come to our country, send money back to Mexico. They view this as a weapon or an invasion of the United States.”
The book provides dozens of examples, and Schweizer shares one: “In December 2024, one of [Mexican President Claudia] Sheinbaum’s top aides wrote in an official government report, ‘We already know that the Mexican population in the United States reaches 39.9 million. We Mexicans are reclaiming our territory.’ I can literally read you dozens of quotes like that,” Schweizer says.
Mexico has a staggering fifty-three consulates in the United States. (China, by contrast, has 6 and the UK has 7.) “We got the transcript of a meeting that took place in 2024, in the Oklahoma City consulate of Mexico. They brought together diplomats from the consulates from Los Angeles all the way to Orlando and all the places in between. People flew in from Mexico City,” Schweizer says. “The other group that was there with them were Democratic Party activists. And the transcript reveals that the meeting was a conversation about how we [Mexico] had helped to turn California from red to blue… turned Arizona from red to blue. How are we going to change the rest of America from red to blue? It was that explicit.”
The Mexican involvement even extends to the unrest in Minneapolis. “It’s not a coincidence that there’s a Mexican consulate in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. And they’re involved in those anti-ICE protests – organizing them, fueling them,” Schweizer says.
“Needless to say,” Schweizer tells Coglianese, “diplomats are not supposed to be involved in partisan politics.”
China is covered in detail, too. The communist regime there employs sophisticated tactics including “birthright tourism,” with approximately 100,000 Chinese babies born annually in the U.S. to then be raised in China as future American voters. Schweizer also uncovered a surrogacy scheme in which Chinese officials father children through American surrogate mothers to create US citizens.
“China’s approach is even more sophisticated than Mexico’s,” Schweizer found. “They have created an industrial scale infiltration of the United States through birthright citizenship. So, the Supreme Court is going to hear this case, in the Spring. Birthright citizenship is the claim that if a woman comes and gives birth in the United States, whether they’re here legally, illegally, on vacation or whatever, that kid is automatically a US citizen.”
“In the United States, the federal government has no clue how many people have been granted citizenship this way. Because when you get a birth certificate, it does not give the nationality of the parents…. Well, the Chinese government has been encouraging this for years.” Estimates of the number, from Chinese government sources, are between 750,000 and 1.5 million people over the last 13 years.
“There are Chinese CCP officials that are sending their sperm to the United States. They pay an American woman, an American citizen in the United States, $50,000 to carry their child,” Schweizer writes in the book. “That child is born to an American mother in the United States and is granted US citizenship. That child is then sent back to China, where it grows up in that system.”
Meanwhile, he argues, the Democratic Party in the US is exploiting these activities through accelerated naturalization programs and manipulation of the decennial Census, using them to gain congressional seats and electoral votes through illegal immigrant populations without convincing Americans of their policy vision. And it all adds up.
“The state of California alone, just because of illegals in that state, has four more congressional seats than they ordinarily would,” Schweizer says. “Now, people might say, okay, well, four seats. Is that really a big deal? Keep in mind those four seats, that’s more than the congressional delegation of 13 US states. So, this is a huge political benefit.”
