Biden’s Latest Immigration Policies Have Done Little to Stymie the Migrant Flood.

Migrant crossing deaths, cartel cruelty, and the fentanyl flood are still very much in the headlines —but didn’t President Biden announce a flurry of actions just a few months ago that would help alleviate resource strain and reduce danger down at the border?

I’ll save you the Googling —they were announced in a White House Press release entitled: Biden-Harris Administration Announces New Border Enforcement Actions. Well, when has a press release ever lied? Surely, something must have gotten fixed?

The brief included initiatives like “New Measures to Encourage Individuals to Seek Orderly and Lawful Pathways to Migration,” and “Expanding the Parole Process for Venezuelans to Nicaraguans, Haitians, and Cubans.”

Sure, those things sound like they could have only made things worse and…oh, wait…they did. Things are as bad as ever down at the southern border.

Look no further than the stash house raids that found more than 140 illegal migrants living in just two houses in El Paso. Or how about the tens of thousands of deadly fentanyl pills seized —in some cases, enough to kill more than one-third of a state’s population?

Biden wants the illusion of progress but neither he nor DHS dullard Alejandro Mayorkas are doing much of anything concrete to protect America’s underbelly —and Biden knows the border is a major weakness for him heading into 2024; just check the polls.

A March Associated Press poll found that just 39 percent of U.S. adults approve of his handling of immigration, while just 38 percent approve of his response to the border crisis.

There have been  5.5 million southern border crossings since the president took office —yikes.

“I think the electorate is much closer to the center on immigration than where the White House has been,” said Democratic political consultant Mike Mikus, who has worked for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the campaign of former Pennsylvania governor Tom Wolf (D.). “The people who decide elections are in the middle.”

“We’ll never have a secure border without robust enforcement of the nation’s immigration laws in the interior of the country,” said former senior Department of Homeland Security official Jon Feere. “The Biden administration’s policies have created a nationwide sanctuary where ICE arrests and removals have plummeted.”

But, hey —at least Biden has given all migrants free phones so they can…so…

Yeah, no —Biden isn’t very good at this.
