The Drill Down crew Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers chats with Rep. Mike Garcia (R-CA) about the threats posed by one of America’s greatest enemies: China; Garcia is a former fighter pilot and current co-chair of the China Taskforce.
“Tell us why China is so important to you,” Schweizer asks Garcia.
“The average American is not treating China as the threat that it is…whether we recognize it or not we’re already at war with China…and it’s a lopsided war…We need to pay more attention to this,” Garcia says.
“The 800lb gorilla in the room is not being dealt with,” Garcia adds.
“You’ve said it’s a war…what is it about China that you think presents the gravest threat and what’s one thing you think your China Taskforce might be able to do to offer the most protection from that threat?” Eggers asks.
