Hunter and His Partners Flaunt Ties to the Oval as ‘Other Currency.’

In 2014, Joe Biden may have been just a spry, second-term septuagenarian Veep, but he was still a heartbeat away from the Oval Office —and Hunter Biden knew that position could be used to garner favor in the business world. That kind of access is worth its weight in gold.

And so, Hunter and his business associates leveraged it at every opportunity.

One of the many revelations in Peter Schweizer’s new book Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win is just how often Hunter traded on the family name. The Biden Business Model works only because of the Biden name and the power it holds.

When Hunter’s old Yale buddy Devon Archer discussed new business ventures, he would always include Biden. In one email, Jason Galanis — another associate of Hunter’s — reminds Archer of the “other currency” that the partners were bringing to the table in their deals —a “direct administration pipeline.”

In other words, Galanis and Archer knew their connection to Hunter Biden and the access to the administration that he provided via his father would be “currency” the partners could use to sweeten the deal for potential partners.

And Joe Biden was complicit.

According to Schweizer in Red-Handed, “The Bidens —father and son together—apparently followed a business model offering access to the highest levels of power in Washington in exchange for big-money international deals.
