Have Your Heard the News? If You Disagree, You Just May Be a Domestic Threat.

Language matters —and theses days, you have to pay attention.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has a habit of dropping low-key memos and advisories with incredibly inflammatory, dangerous language. Remember how concerned parents became “domestic terrorists” with a quick memo? Well, Mayorkas is back to reinforce that any dissent by Americans may be considered a domestic threat. Mayorkas released the following statement in a National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin:

“The primary terrorism-related threat to the United States continues to stem from lone offenders or small cells of individuals who are motivated by a range of foreign and/or domestic grievances often cultivated through the consumption of certain online content.” [emphasis added]

It sounds like he’s saying some Americans read alternative news sources and that can be dangerous. Let’s read on.

“The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors [emphasis added]. These threat actors seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest, which could potentially inspire acts of violence.”

Government institutions like the CDC, maybe? Let’s keep going…

“While the conditions underlying the heightened threat landscape have not significantly changed over the last year, the convergence of the following factors has increased the volatility, unpredictability, and complexity of the threat environment: (1) the proliferation of false or misleading narratives [emphasis added], which sow discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.”

So, Mayorkas and the Biden Administration own “the truth” and any push back or “false or misleading narratives” on masks, vaccines, BLM, Defunding the Police, violent crime spikes —any OPINION on those situations that isn’t “the truth” is a domestic threat. “Domestic” violence, extremists and threats are mentioned eight times in the memo.

Later, under a section entitled ‘“How We Are Responding,” Mayorkas drops this nugget:

“DHS remains committed to working with our partners to identify and prevent all forms of terrorism and targeted violence, and to support law enforcement efforts to keep our communities safe.”

“COVID measures such as vaccine and mask mandates are stated to ‘have been used by domestic violent extremists to justify violence since 2020’ and can potentially continue to inspire them ‘to target government, healthcare, and academic institutions that they associate with those measures,’” Conservative News Daily reports.

“As a result, DHS and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are ‘sharing information and intelligence with our partners across every level of government and in the private sector’ to combat the aforementioned threats.”

The “threats” he’s talking about are free speech, press, and information. The Biden Administration is dismantling the First Amendment right before our eyes.
