As previously reported by The Drill Down, President Biden’s massive $300 billion dollar ($400 billion? $600 billion?) student loan bailout will affect approximately 40 million Americans. And wouldn’t you know it —more than 200 of them are top aides to the President, himself.

That must be so much fun for them! Aside from the raised eyebrows from American taxpayers.

According to watchdog group insidebidensbasement.org, the number of top Biden aides who may possibly benefit could be well over 300; “Our projection of 223 Biden officials who stand to benefit may be just the beginning,” said the watchdog.

“The report also includes executive agencies and identifies many loan-holders inside Education, Treasury, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. It said that financial disclosure forms of all Biden appointees are still coming in,” The Washington Examiner reports.

“Based on the data we have compiled, at least 223 high-ranking Biden appointees still have outstanding loans totaling anywhere between $12.6 million and $31.2 million,” said the report. It also listed those findings:

  • White House: $3,015,091 to $7,425,000

  • CFPB: $230,004 to $600,000

  • Treasury: $170,007 to $415,000

  • Education: $125,006 to $350,000

Anyone see any conflicts here? Upper-tier admin members financially benefiting from their handout? A handout which, by the way, is of questionable legality. Nearly 100 members of the GOP have signed on to a letter asking Speaker Pelosi to stop Biden’s executive overreach.

Because it does reek of overreach, doesn’t it? In fact, Nancy, herself, said Biden didn’t have the power to forgive student loan debt without Congress.

Yet, here we are.

“Speaker Pelosi explicitly stated in July of 2021 that President Biden ‘does not have the power,’ to cancel federal student loan debt. ‘That has to be an act of Congress,’” Rep. Jordy Hice (R-GA) said in a press release exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital. “I’m demanding that Speaker Pelosi decisively act and stand by her previous statement – a direct repudiation of President Biden’s executive overreach yesterday.”

Hice, author of the letter to Pelosi, says Biden didn’t mention exactly how he has the legal authority to forgive the debt.

“Noticeably absent from the President’s plan is any plausible legal authority to implement such a policy,” Hice and his colleagues wrote. “The legislative and executive branches each possess defined powers under the Constitution.”

“No provision of the Constitution nor any act of Congress, including the Higher Education Act, grants President Biden or the Secretary of Education the authority that they falsely claim to wield through this unilateral action,” the letter continued.

C’mon, Mr. Hice! Biden just wants to help out a few top aides and buy a few hundred thousand votes. After all, desperate times —and dismal approval ratings, call for desperate legislation.
