The Chinese have “hacked” the idea of US birthright citizenship.
Since at least 2013, Chinese “birth tourists” have had 100,000 babies in the United States per year. This means that starting in the late 2020s those children, raised entirely in China and indoctrinated in Chinese government propaganda, can claim their US citizenship as birthright citizens.
That shocking conclusion comes from Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute and author of the bestselling new book, The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon. Appearing on the radio show of Fox News host Brian Kilmeade, Schweizer says he was shocked by what he learned in doing the book, which details how China, Mexico, and the Muslim Brotherhood use mass migration to undermine American sovereignty, influence U.S. politics, and reshape the country from within.
Interviewed by guest-host Jason Chaffetz, Schweizer reveals how China exploits birthright citizenship at scale through birth tourism. Chaffetz ask about another technique they use. “They also use surrogacy. Talk us through what you found there?”
“This may be the most disturbing element of all,” Schweizer says. “You have powerful men in China, linked with the CCP, who are renting wombs from women in the United States. They call them ‘carriers.’ They will donate sperm, and a woman will agree to carry and give birth to the child in the United States. The mother is paid. That child is now born to an American mother and is born in the United States. But that child is immediately sent back to China.”
US officials have no idea how prevalent this may be, because there are no relevant statistics. “But we know a couple of things. We know there are some members of the elite who are doing this on a massive scale,” Schweizer explains. “The Wall Street Journal had a piece just a couple of weeks ago, about one Chinese man tied to the CCP elite that has more than 100 children born in the United States this way.”
Schweizer’s research for the book describes the possible scale. “We found that, just in Southern California, there are 107 Chinese-owned surrogacy companies that arranged these kinds of deals for members of the Chinese elite.”
Mexico, he tells Chaffetz, has its own ways of undermining the United States.
Schweizer explains that other countries routinely have a few consulates scattered around the US to aid their visiting citizens. China has six, and the UK has seven.
“Mexico has 53,” Schweizer found. “And, as I lay out in the book, consular officials — these are Mexican diplomats in the United States – are engaged in not only organizing violent anti-ICE protests and other protest activity but are also actively trying to elect Democrats and defeat Republicans,” he said. “You have Mexican diplomats involved in political activity inside the United States.”
Schweizer quotes from a Mexican government report written in December of 2024 by one of President Sheinbaum’s top aides: “We already know that the Mexican population of the United States reaches 39.9 million. We Mexicans, are we reclaiming our territory.”
A powerful senator who sits on Mexico’s national defense committee, the most powerful committee in the Mexican Senate, said, “Mexicans are in our territories of California, Nevada, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Wyoming. We’re going to take back the territory that was stolen from us.”
Incidentally, that senator, Karina Ruiz, who lives fulltime in Arizona, introduced a bill into the Mexican Senate to make California the 33rd Mexican state.
