During a recent interview with Greg Kelly, authors Susan Crabtree and Jedd McFatter discuss their explosive new book,
Crabtree and McFatter expose Golden State Gov Gavin Newsom’s corruption—self-funding a $97K bust, cozying up to China through ChinaSF, and pocketing PG&E money tied to deadly wildfires.
Crabtree links it to Trump’s assassination attempt, questioning Secret Service failures, while McFatter unpacks Newsom’s performative rise, fueled by oil money and CCP ties.
“One of the things that we talk about in the book … is that when Gavin Newsom was lieutenant governor, he solicited payments from two of his private companies that were used to help pay for costs associated with a bronze bust of himself that was installed in San Francisco City Hall,” McFatter said.
McFatter continued: “Now, we don’t know whether his private companies got a tax exemption, but that’s just one example of what he’s done. We also focus a lot on Gavin’s cozy relationships with China in particular. We look at this one nonprofit called China, S.F. that he created when he was mayor of San Francisco. It was set up to recruit Chinese businesses and investments into the Bay Area. They claimed they brought in over $5 billion. But in effect, this nonprofit basically helped streamline a lot of Chinese criminals and CCP officials into
the U.S.. And have a lot of examples of that in the book.”
