Recently, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard exposed evidence that President Obama and his team orchestrated a false intelligence assessment on the Russia hoax, prompting a DOJ task force to investigate its extent. GAI Research Director Seamus Bruner joined the Saturday Agenda program on Newsmax to discuss these revelations in depth.

Bruner, author of Controligarchs, noted that in the just-released documents, then National Security Agency head James Clapper essentially “throw(s) Obama under the bus and says ‘he directed us to give this intelligence assessment’.”

Bruner also noted that the criticism of Gabbard’s move from the corporate media has been to claim that it is simply a “distraction” from the controversy around the Jeffrey Epstein matter, and “parroting what the Obama team says.”

Bruner was joined on a panel by Retired Army Lt. Col Tony Shaffer, a former intelligence officer, author, and president of the London Center for Policy Research. Shaffer boiled the importance of the disclosures into three takeaways:

  1. A confirmation that former CIA Director John Brennan and others lied under oath.
  2. That they were promoting the fake Steele Dossier into a predicate for investigating the recently elected president Donald Trump prior to his taking office.
  3. That then President Barack Obama directed it all.
