GAI Director of Research Seamus Bruner analyzed Tulsi Gabbard’s revelations about unburned “burn bags” containing hidden intelligence on election corruption. Appearing on a Newsmax program called The Count, he praised Gabbard’s aggressive stance against politicization within intelligence agencies and emphasized the FBI’s repeated meddling in elections from 2016 to 2020.
“These burn bags are highly suspicious,” Bruner said. “We know that the FBI had their fingers on the scale in both 2016 and 2020, and probably in 2024 as well.”
Bruner highlighted the reinstatement of whistleblowers’ clearances as a sign of progress but cautioned that restoring trust in the FBI and DOJ will take time. He also pushed back on claims that the raid on John Bolton was political retribution, stressing that figures who profited from classified information should face accountability. Bruner concluded that justice must apply equally, even to establishment insiders like Bolton.
