When former President Donald Trump made building a wall along the southern border a key campaign promise, folks on the left hurled all kinds of insults his way.

Racist. Bigoted. Un-American. Ignorant. And worse.

Now, the Biden Administration’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is saying a wall along the southern border is absolutely necessary and the U.S. should move forward with building 20+ new miles in Starr County, Texas to prevent illegal crossings.

“The United States Border Patrol’s (Border Patrol) Rio Grande Valley Sector is an area of ‘high illegal entry.’ As of early August 2023, Border Patrol had encountered over 245,000 such entrants attempting to enter the United States between ports of entry in the Rio Grande Valley Sector in Fiscal Year 2023,” Mayorkas wrote in a statement.

“There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas,” Mayorkas added.

Not only will they build new stretches of the border wall, but they will waive 26 federal laws to expedite the process.

The Biden admin’s 180 on the border wall is in direct conflict with candidate Joe Biden’s promise not to build one more foot of border wall under his administration. Former President Trump hit TRUTH Social to jokingly ask Biden for an “apology.”

“Will Joe Biden apologize to me and America for taking so long to get moving, and allowing our country to be flooded with 15 million illegals immigrants, from places unknown,” Trump wrote Thursday in a Truth Social post. “I will await his apology!”

The Biden Administration can no longer ignore the strain of a wide-open border, with many sanctuary state governors and city mayors admitting that they can no longer ignore the fallout from the broken border.

Both New York Governor Kathy Hochul and Big Apple Mayor Eric Adams are saying enough is enough. When there’s no more space in one of the biggest cities on earth, that’s a problem.
