In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a war being fought in our nation’s classrooms. It’s parents against, well, everyone: radical school boards, power-hungry teachers’ unions, and lesson plans that prioritize discussions about sexuality instead of, oh, you know —basic reading skills.

Certainly, free Florida is an excellent example of how to fight back against woke indoctrination of children; Gov. Ron DeSantis’ Parental Rights in Education framework is being adopted by many states looking to send a clear message to educators: leave the birds and the bees to us.

Discussions and lesson plans involving sex and gender will only serve to confuse younger kids.

Despite this, the woke agenda, no matter how unpopular it is in the “flyovers,” continues to find its way into our schools. According to a recent report from The Daily Caller, an LGBT organization awarded 50 school districts a $10,000 grant to promote gender ideology and Gender Sexuality Alliance clubs.

…much to the chagrin of the nation’s parents. Because, as it turns out, gender ideology in schools isn’t exactly a slam dunk, widely-supported issue. Dems don’t care —they’ll push anything on anyone if it makes them seem righteous. But this may not be a winning issue.

According to a recent YouGov poll, nearly two-thirds of Americans (63%) oppose changes by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) to the definition of “sex” under Title IX —the 1972 federal law that opened up equal educational opportunities for women.

Doesn’t matter —here comes the woke money train.

According to The Daily Caller, those $10,000 grants went to projects like “gender-affirming closet(s)” at school to “help trans students access clothing that fits their true selves,” and funding the remodeling of “single-gender lavatories” to “gender-neutral bathrooms.”

Here are a few more examples as shared by The Daily Caller:

Maine-based Cape Elizabeth High School received $10,000 to create a “film that will educate teachers and students how to be more inclusive and use proper pronouns,” Maine-based Cape Elizabeth High School received $10,000 to create a “film that will educate teachers and students how to be more inclusive and use proper pronouns.”

Louisiana-based, Haynes Academy, similarly vowed to create and fund an “LGBTQ+-inclusive training for students and faculty,” using the grant funds.

Grand Island Senior High School, in Nebraska, vowed to create a “mural to represent all identities in the LGBTQ+ community.” The same school district admits on its website to using controversial surveys that often ask about students’ gender and sexual experiences.

You get the point.

There are hundreds of these programs being developed and adopted all over the country, without parental consent. While inclusivity and acceptance are noble pursuits, steamrolling parents, and excluding them from decisions that involve their children, is not the best way to go.

This is a losing issue for progressive Dems.

They fought the moms and the moms won —midterms will prove that out.
