Wait, isn’t the border secure? Hasn’t the Biden Administration gone to painstaking lengths to hammer home the message that the border is secure and there is nothing to worry about?
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas testified to the fact.
Vice President Kamala Harris swore to it during a television interview.

With Trump-era border crossing deterrent Title 42 ending on May 11th, Biden Administration members are changing their tunes —at least, behind the scenes.
“We anticipate that we may experience increased levels of arrivals at our southern border in the coming weeks,” Mayorkas wrote in a staff-wide memo last week.
“Increased levels of arrivals” is a nice way to put it. Or, as another Senior DHS official calls it: “an upcoming s— storm.”
Now multiple media outlets are reporting Biden’s plan to send 1,500 troops to the southern border as Title 42 comes to an end. Talk about waiting until the last minute.

The move comes as senior officials at Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, and outside analysts worry about a tremendous surge in illegal border crossings later this month. The Free Beacon reported on an April memo from DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that warned agency staff about Title 42’s repeal and the “strain our workforce, our communities, and our entire system” will face afterwards.
The May memo corroborates reports that the Biden administration may send 1,500 active-duty troops to the southwest border later this month. Those soldiers would perform administrative tasks and transportation in order to relieve strain on U.S. Border Patrol agents. No plans have been made for American troops to assist in border enforcement.
“You almost feel bad for [Mayorkas]. After two years on the job he knows full well the chaos we’re about to face—especially the burden that will fall on frontline officers,” a senior DHS official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told the Free Beacon. “But the administration pours all efforts into processing under the stated belief it will decrease strain on the border. It didn’t help under COVID rules and Mayorkas’s comments show the White House knows it won’t work when Title 42 ends.”
Biden has been weakening our southern border since his first day in office.
